What is Yoga Therapy
The IAYT define yoga therapy as, “The professional application of the principles and practices of yoga to promote health and well-being within a therapeutic relationship that includes personalized assessment, goal setting, lifestyle management, and yoga practices for individuals or small groups.”
Yoga therapy is designed for real people—those with goals to reach, challenges to navigate, and a desire for skilled, compassionate support along the way. Eden is trained to work with the whole person, gently guiding clients through the philosophies of yoga and Ayurvedic wellness using a grounded, bottom‑up approach.
A full yoga therapy journey is best experienced over seven or more sessions. Your first session includes a thorough review of your intake form and a clear discussion of the goals you want to achieve. From there, you’ll move intentionally through the koshas, following the framework outlined in "Know ThySelf" by Eden Shaw.
